I have always enjoyed working with elderly and disabled persons. During college, I worked at a nursing home. As a former long-term care ombudsman for Aging and Community Services of South Central Indiana Inc., I served as an advocate for resident rights.

I can provide outside assistance to nursing homes seeking legal consultation regarding residents’ rights and/or abuse and neglect issues. I have spoken at Indiana State Guardianship Association events and have helped with special needs trusts.

As baby boomers age, there is an ever-increasing need for attorneys to address these needs. My background in social services has equipped me to see the unique needs of the elderly. Whether preparing Advanced Directives or dealing with a guardianship issue, I can help.

Family issues can be complicated, tense and even confrontational. I emphasize cooperation over conflict in the quickest manner possible and in the best interest of my client and hopefully, the entire family. Although I am prepared and willing to go to court for my client, I see this as a last option and avoid it, if possible.

I provide assistance in the following areas of Family Law:

  • Adoptions
  • Advanced Directives
  • Child Support
  • Custody Evaluation
  • Custody and Visitation
  • Disability Planning
  • Divorce
  • Family Mediation
  • Guardianships
  • Parenting Coordination
  • Paternity
  • Marital Agreements
  • Simple Wills & Trusts
  • Uncontested Divorce

I have several years experience providing legal research services to other attorneys and entities. I am very familiar with legal databases like Westlaw® and LexisNexis®. I strive to go above and beyond to provide accurate and legally sound research in the most time efficient manner possible.  I will keep working until I find the solutions you are seeking.

I understand your time is valuable, so I can further save you time by drafting legal documents and interviewing witnesses, including children.

Or maybe you just need a fresh perspective on a case. I will provide you with the assistance you need, while always remembering that my role is a supporting one.
